From the Parson’s Pen: A tender heart

“Because thine heart was tender and thou didst humble thyself before God...I have even heard thee also saith the Lord” – 2 Corinthians 34:27

When the word of God was read to King Josiah, he felt so smitten that he inquired of the Lord about the nation’s disobedience. The prophetess Huldah replied that destruction would surely come because because the king’s heart was tender and because he had humbled himself and wept, God heard him and promised him peace.
