Sunny side up

I am up later than I should be on Christmas night, but I’m all a-flutter with happy thoughts.

Our immediate family has been together for the past two days. I have laughed so much, my sides tingle, I’ve eaten fruitcake until my taste buds are content, and the bits of paper and ribbon that are left over from present opening are stubbornly clinging to the carpet, and it doesn’t bother me in the least. We threw joy around like confetti for the past two days! We have said prayers of thanksgiving for our happy get-together and prayed for those who are dealing with sadness at this most special time of year. Life is what it is and The One we celebrate this season is the only way we can make it down the pathways that adorn our existence.
