Itawamba County and the city of Fulton, in partnership with the Easterseals Mississippi Children's Advocacy Center, jointly issued proclamations this week in observance of April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
The CAC hosted a ceremony at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Eternal Flame war memorial outside the Itawamba County Courthouse. Speakers at the ceremony included Sara Kitchens, director of the Easterseals Mississippi CAC; Fulton Police Chief Brad Rogers; Jason Herring, District Attorney for the Mississippi First District; and Fulton Mayor Emily Quinn. Also in attendance were state representative Donnie Bell and the members of the Itawamba County Board of Supervisors.
