ABERDEEN – A circuit court judge dismissed all 22 state sex charges pending against a former Amory High School teacher this week. Instead of facing up to an additional 700 years in prison, Toshemie Wilson will only have to serve the 192-sentence handed down in federal court.

Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch’s office filed a motion in circuit court Monday to formally dismiss all of the state charges against Wilson. The motion noted the federal sentence, the inactivity of the state case and the reluctance of the victims to proceed.
