Sunny side up

This is an exciting time for our family. Anna and Dyllan are finishing up their master’s degrees at the University of North Alabama and Kennedy will earn his associates degree from Itawamba Community College. We are quite proud of all three. With that bit of good news shared I will continue by saying the past few days have been, well, for lack of a better description in words, “uniquely unpredictable.” Let’s go back to last Thursday.

Kennedy, who never says he doesn’t feel well, said he was “almost miserable” due to a pain that began in the center of his stomach and really hit the heights of hurting on his right side. His dad, who had the same malady a few years before, feared it was appendicitis. It was. Kennedy was whisked away to the hospital. On Friday morning at 6:30 he underwent surgery. Things went well and he came home on Saturday afternoon. Other than being sore, he is doing well and we say thank you, Lord.
