A longtime Monroe County educator will begin the 2026-2027 school year in a new setting. Monroe County School District Superintendent Dr. Chad O’Brian was recently announced as the new principal and athletic director at Oak Hill Academy in West Point.
“I think it’s time for a new challenge. Oak Hill is a great place and it’s an opportunity for me to be more involved in a Christian-like environment,” he said. “It’s something new and I think every time you do something new, there’s some nervousness but I feel very good about what we have accomplished here in the last four years.”
