Brooklyn Streich

Myrtle's Brooklyn Streich winds and delivers a pitch to the plate during Friday's game two.

MYRTLE - Myrtle’s playoff run came to an end Friday night as the Lady Hawks fell 7–2 to Eupora in Game 2 of the second round of the 2A playoffs. Despite out-hitting the Lady Eagles 7–6, Myrtle couldn’t turn those opportunities into enough runs to extend its season.

Eupora struck first in the top of the third, scoring on an error, and later broke the game open with four runs in the sixth to take a 5–0 lead. Two more runs in the seventh put the Lady Hawks in a deep hole heading into their final atbat.
