United Way of Northeast Mississippi has officially completed another grantmaking cycle.

At their April meeting, United Way board of directors voted to approve grants in support of 56 programs at 46 local nonprofit organizations across their 8-county service area, which includes Tishomingo, Itawamba, Union, Prentiss, Lee, Pontotoc, Monroe and Chickasaw counties. As part of its ongoing work, United Way also continued its investment in community impact with the operation of its four initiatives, the Early Childhood Coalition, Hunger Coalition, Volunteer Northeast Mississippi and the Northeast Mississippi Health Alliance, bringing its total grants and community investments to $1,539,351.
