Throughout our history, in the soon to be 250th anniversary of our country, Americans have always assisted others in promoting democracy, stopping aggression, fighting communism, terrorism and most recently ensuring the security of the United States and its allies.

Most people when asked can easily recall a good many details about World War I, World War II and Vietnam, three of the most defining events in the 20th century. But, what about the Korean Conflict/War. Much of history as most Americans know it, especially what is taught in our schools, seems to have glossed over much of this equally significant period. Millions of Americans today likely aren’t aware of the following casualty facts about the unified effort of the United States, the Republic of Korea and our allies to stop Communist aggression in a far-off region of the world. Every generation of Americans should know the historical impact of the Korean War, fought to save a nation from enslavement and to preserve peace, freedom and prosperity.
